The Lone Worker Group and Lone Worker Services was founded and is owned by Patrick Dealtry who wrote the British Standard for the supply of Lone Worker services, BS8484, and brought it into being through the British Standards system. He founded one of the most respected suppliers of Lone Worker services – which is still trading very effectively.  He has since left that company to pursue other interests.   He is chairman of the BSIA Lone Worker Group and a passionate campaigner for best practice in the lone worker market.  Among many other activities, he is working with the European standardisation organisation to develop a European Lone Worker standard.

In 2010 Patrick received the coveted BSIA Chairman’s Award for services to standards in the security industry.
